Institute of Data Engineering, Analytics, and Science Foundation (IDEAS), Technology Innovation Hub (TIH), at the Indian Statistical Institute organized a Training program on Earth Observation (EO) Data Analytics for Disaster Management focusing on Flood and Drought from July 10, 2023  to July 14, 2023. 

Earth Data Analytics and Geospatial Data Analytics is gaining immense momentum lately due to their crucial role in natural resource management by providing insights into various aspects of the environment, such as land use, vegetation cover, and water quality. With the help of spatial data analytics, natural resource managers can identify areas that are most vulnerable to environmental degradation and take appropriate measures to protect them. 

The workshop had eminent speakers and researchers from India and abroad and provided the participants a valuable insight and experience in this domain, specifically the application of data analytics in flood and drought prevention.
