IDEAS-TIH at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata offers a range of internship opportunities for students and entry-level job aspirants in Software Development and Data Analytics. These programs are announced periodically based on the availability of suitable project funding. Some of our popular internship offerings include:

Spring / Summer / Autumn Internships (Hybrid Mode)

Designed for undergraduate students and aspiring data scientists seeking practical skills and mentorship in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, these internships are generally offered three times a year in two formats:

• Foundational Internship (4 Weeks | 60 Hours)

• Advanced Internship (10 Weeks | 120 Hours)

 

Participants pay a nominal internship management fee and undergo an online training module covering foundational Data Science skills, followed by guided project work. Successful completion of the project earns participants an Internship Certificate from IDEAS-ISI. The 4-week program is ideal for beginners, while the 10-week program is best suited for learners with prior exposure to Data Science or those wishing to work on more advanced projects. The 10-week internship also includes an optional campus immersion at ISI Kolkata.

Internship announcements are typically published one month before the start date, and there is no eligibility screening for registration.
